Today is Valentine’s Day. Never really celebrated, but TOMORROW.. tomorrow we’re going to have to hold strong because it’s 1/2 prices chocolate 🍫 day. 😅😂🤣
I do love a good Valentine’s shirt, so I’m repping this bad boy today. 🤘
It’s my day off, so I spent some much needed time staying in bed. I also got my workout in. So we still getting it done! 🙌
We’ve got some adulting to do today, but excited to start this. I can’t speak much on it right now. I was very disappointed that our original plan didn’t work out. But there are other opportunities that await. Everything happens for a reason. Just got to keep faith & stay the course. 🙏
I may cuss. I may be short fused at times. But I’ve come a long ways & I know that we can’t do things all on our own. That we have to turn to the lord, even when things are going good. I’m a sinner. Not a saint. But I will always be strong in my faith. ✨
I’ve got to run, but I’ll catch up with y’all later!! ✌️☕️✨
... Read moreValentine’s Day often brings mixed feelings for many people, and I find it refreshing to share a more personal, grounded perspective on this widely celebrated day. Like many, I don’t always celebrate Valentine’s Day traditionally, but I love to embrace the little moments that make it special in my own way.
Starting the day with a simple coffee ritual creates a sense of normalcy and comfort. For me, routine moments like these set a positive tone. It’s something anyone can do—whether you’re single, partnered, or just needing a gentle reset.
One fun aspect is looking forward to half-price chocolate the day after Valentine’s. It’s a quirky tradition I look forward to laughing about and enjoying with friends. It’s a reminder that celebration doesn’t have to be grandiose; sometimes it’s just about enjoying what’s accessible.
Self-care is also crucial. Taking a day off to rest and recharge, spending time in bed, and getting in a workout speaks to balancing rest and activity. Prioritizing physical and mental health helps keep us grounded, especially when other plans don’t pan out.
Speaking of plans, it’s perfectly normal to feel disappointment when things don’t go as expected. I found strength in trusting that other opportunities will come and that everything happens for a reason. This mindset keeps me motivated and hopeful.
Faith plays a huge role in my journey. I am far from perfect—I admit to moments of frustration and imperfection—but faith remains my anchor. Turning to something bigger than myself, especially through ups and downs, has been transformative. It reminds me to stay humble and resilient.
Even if you don’t share the same beliefs, the core idea of relying on inner strength or a support system during challenging times is universal.
Lastly, wearing something fun like a Valentine’s shirt can boost mood and express a playful spirit, even on days we might otherwise overlook.
In essence, Valentine’s Day for me is less about romantic expectations and more about self-awareness, faith, resilience, and joy in small things. Embracing these aspects might just help others see Valentine’s Day in a new, empowering light.
