Waiting Doesn’t Mean Forgotten

I prayed.

And I thought something would shift immediately.

A door.

A feeling.

Some kind of clarity.

But instead…

I’m still here.

Still waiting.

Still wondering.

Still trying to hold onto faith

without forcing myself to feel okay.

Because waiting can feel confusing.

You start to question:

“Did I pray wrong?”

“Did I miss something?”

“Is God even listening?”

But sometimes the silence isn’t rejection

it’s process.

Sometimes what you’re asking for

isn’t just about the outcome…

it’s about who you’re becoming

while you wait.

And that part?

No one really prepares you for.

The part where your faith is stretched

without immediate evidence.

The part where you have to keep showing up

without knowing when things will change.

But waiting doesn’t mean you’ve been ignored.

And delay doesn’t mean denial.

God is not absent in this moment

even if He feels quiet.

So if all you can do right now is whisper,

“I’m still here…”

That’s enough.

Because He can hold both

your prayer

and your waiting.

... Read moreWaiting is truly one of the most challenging aspects of faith and personal growth. From my own experience, I’ve found that the moments of waiting—particularly when answers or changes don’t come as quickly as hoped—can be the most profound times of transformation. The silence or seeming delay can feel isolating and confusing, often tempting us to doubt whether our prayers are heard or whether our efforts hold any meaning. What helped me was shifting my perspective from focusing solely on the outcome to embracing the process itself. Waiting is not just a passive state; it’s an active phase of internal development. During this time, I learned patience, resilience, and a deeper trust in the timing of things beyond my control. I started to notice subtle shifts within myself—a strengthening of faith, a clearer understanding of my own desires, and a greater acceptance of uncertainty. Additionally, I've found that expressing my feelings openly, even the frustration and doubt, helped me stay connected to my faith without forcing a forced sense of peace. Whispering the truth of “I’m still here” became a form of gentle surrender rather than defeat. We often think that spiritual growth or personal breakthroughs must come with dramatic signs, but sometimes the quiet, unseen work happening internally is the most impactful. Remember, silence during waiting is not rejection but often preparation. We grow into the persons capable of receiving what we've prayed for while waiting. This journey nurtures endurance and brings clarity about what truly matters. It’s okay if you don’t feel okay all the time; it’s part of the process of becoming. For anyone currently feeling stuck or invisible in their waiting period, know this: your prayers and your waiting coexist in God’s hands. You are not ignored or forgotten. This waiting chapter is shaping you in ways that will become clear in time. Keep showing up for yourself with kindness and patience. Embrace the discomfort as a sign that something meaningful is unfolding within you—even if you can’t see it yet.
