Starting to put together a mood board for my house interior! Honestly don’t know how realistic this is so let’s see. We went to our friend’s house with measuring tape 🤣, as we wanted to give ourselves a sense of space and distance. It’s hard to imagine sometimes!
For example, the min. width for staircase is 1m but it will look quite narrow. 1.1m will be visually better (supposedly) but when we went over to our friend’s place- 1.2m just seems a lot better! 🙂↕️ (just not sure if we have the space).
I really like having an area cut out for the plants too (4th pic). Makes the house a lot warmer and soft. Still thinking if it’s worth to give up the usable space!
- Solar panels (was told prices came down significantly compared to 5y ago!)
- Lift
Took me probably 4h+ to browse through Pinterest and put these together across 2 days. My next few post should be on finalizing overall facade design, builder selection/ discussion, as well as ballpark cost to build the house psf. I’m looking forward to materials shopping 🛒 💸

... Read moreWhen working on a wardrobe mood board, it's helpful to explore different layouts and storage options that maximize functionality without overwhelming the space. I found that considering columnar structures and minimalist luxury themes really helped unify my design vision.
Including elements like a walk-in wardrobe with a corner island table and vanity area adds both practicality and elegance. Soft neutral tones combined with plants create a warm, inviting atmosphere that's both modern and cozy.
Additionally, don't overlook the importance of natural lighting and optimizing drawer storage by categorizing items such as makeup in drawers and accessories on the vanity table. This not only keeps your space tidy but also enhances daily routines.
Integrating sustainable features like solar panels and planning for an EV charger positioned near your home's entrance can elevate your lifestyle while supporting eco-friendly goals.
Lastly, visiting friends’ homes to test real dimensions was invaluable for me—it’s hard to visualize space without seeing and measuring it firsthand. If you’re on a budget, consider prioritizing features that bring you the most joy and functionality as you design your dream living space.
