The Dark Bay Turkoman, in particular, is a stunning sight, often resembling that magnificent black horse with the ornate bridle in some of the game's best photography. They're less prone to bucking you off in a gunfight or when encountering predators, which is a massive advantage in sticky situations. I found my Turkoman invaluable for bounty hunting and those intense gang hideout clearings. They might not have the pure sprint speed of a Thoroughbred, but their endurance and fearlessness make them a top-tier combat companion. Speaking of speed, the Thoroughbred (especially the Dapple Grey or Brindle coats) is a pure racing machine. If you love to dash across the plains or compete in races, this horse will give you the edge. They are incredibly fast, but sometimes their skittish nature can be a challenge. You might find yourself on the ground more often if a cougar jumps out! However, for pure exhilaration and covering ground quickly, a Thoroughbred is hard to beat. The Dapple Grey, like the beautiful light grey horse I've seen, is particularly striking and a real head-turner. Finally, for those who spend most of their time in Red Dead Online, the Breton Horse is a fantastic addition, especially if you're into specialized roles. They offer a great balance of health and stamina, coupled with a calm temperament, making them ideal for bounty hunting, trading, or collecting. Their sturdy build can handle a lot, and they won't easily ditch you. Finding the right Breton for your style can really enhance your online experience. When it comes to naming your beloved companion, I always like to pick something that reflects their personality or appearance. For a strong, reliable horse like a Turkoman or even a sturdy Breton, names like 'TOMBSTONE' (just like the one I saw for a misty landscape horse!) evoke strength and resilience. For a spirited, agile mount, perhaps a Pinto or a swift Thoroughbred, something more dynamic like 'TECHO' could be perfect, as seen with that white and black pinto. Ultimately, the best horse is one that fits your playstyle and brings you joy in the vast world of Red Dead Redemption 2!
