Our process usually starts with me filming a bunch of clips, often just me rambling or trying out a new idea. Then comes the magic part: handing it over to my 'amazing, smart, loving boyfriend' for editing. Now, don't get me wrong, there are moments where I playfully rant about 'everything I HATE about my boyfriend' – like leaving his socks everywhere or questioning if he willingly smells certain things (just kidding... mostly!). But underneath all that teasing, there's so much appreciation for his patience and skill. He’s the one who turns my chaotic footage into something cohesive and, dare I say, sometimes even brilliant! We’ll sit side-by-side, me snacking on 'blues food' (and sometimes 'eating his chips right now while editing this, sorry babe!'), giving him feedback. Sometimes, I’ll be like, "Can you make 'that transition TOO good'?" and he'll just nail it. Other times, he’ll throw in a funny cut or comment that perfectly captures our dynamic, like jokingly asking, 'Are you calling me big back?' – which is totally an inside joke, by the way! It’s all part of the fun. He’s even started taking some pics, and I genuinely think, 'I’m an AMAZING photographer if I do say so myself' when he’s behind the lens. What I've learned from this 'project' is that collaborating with your partner, even on something as silly as internet content, can really strengthen your bond. You learn to communicate better, to compromise, and to appreciate each other’s strengths. Plus, it's incredibly funny to watch back and see our real-life banter unfold on screen. It’s like a little peek into our 'life as a big back' couple, full of quirks and genuine affection.
