Little intro ✨ a book lover 🫶

Hi fellow bookworms! It's helloimlilly here, and I'm so excited to finally put a little more out about my reading world and hopefully connect with even more amazing people like you. When I say I'm a 'book lover,' I really mean it's a huge part of my life – a passion that’s grown from childhood story times to late-night reading binges today. I genuinely believe there’s nothing better than getting lost in a good book, and sharing that experience makes it even richer. You might be wondering what kind of books fill my shelves (and my e-reader!). Well, as the image hinted, I truly enjoy a variety of genres. I’m definitely a big fan of Mythology – ancient tales from Greek gods to Norse sagas just captivate me. There’s something so powerful and timeless about those stories, exploring human nature through epic adventures and divine interventions. If you have any favorite mythology retellings or deep dives, I'd absolutely love to hear about them! I’m always looking to expand my knowledge beyond the classics, and finding new interpretations or lesser-known myths is always a thrill. Beyond the fantastical, I spend a lot of time with Non-fiction. I love learning new things, whether it's about history, psychology, science, or even practical life skills. A well-researched non-fiction book can totally shift my perspective or teach me something I never knew I needed to know. I find a lot of inspiration in biographies and memoirs too; hearing about other people's journeys can be incredibly motivating. Recent reads on personal growth or cultural studies have really opened my eyes. And of course, who can resist a compelling novel? From thrilling mysteries that keep me guessing until the last page, to heartwarming contemporary stories, to sprawling high fantasy series – I read them all! I adore character-driven plots and stories that make me feel deeply. Whether it's a literary fiction masterpiece or a fun, quick read, I'm open to anything that promises a great escape. I find myself gravitating towards novels with strong female leads, unique world-building, or compelling ethical dilemmas. My current obsession might be a historical fiction piece, but tomorrow it could easily be a sci-fi epic! My goal here on Lemon8 is to create a little corner where we can all be book nerds together. I’m hoping to share my latest reads, review books that truly stood out (good or bad!), and maybe even start some themed reading challenges.
