Trying new things✨✨✨

I tried lamb chops & lamb steaks again.

This is only my second time & I still don’t like lamb. It’s gross I don’t like the texture or taste. But I tried again & I’ll probably try again in the future.

All my kids love it. I never push my eating habits on my kids. I always let them decide what they like or don’t like. They all are big meat eaters & I’m just not but I still cook & let them eat anything they like regardless of how I like it.

I didn’t cook this but my did stepdad for our family dinner upon my little niece request for Lamb & all veggies. This was one of my moms favorite things to cook for everyone (she always made me extra chicken bc I would never eat it or try it) I finally tried it after she passed & again this time & I still don’t (& that’s okay!!!). Lmao

I did enjoy the veggies as usual roasted rainbow carrots, grilled squash & zucchini, roasted potatoes with fresh rosemary sourdough bread.

... Read moreTrying new foods can be quite an adventure, especially when it comes to challenging tastes like lamb. Although my initial experience with lamb chops and steaks wasn't enjoyable due to their distinct texture and flavor, I appreciate the value in continuing to give them a chance. This journey is not just about acquiring a new taste but also about embracing family traditions and the joys of communal dining. One important aspect I've learned is how food preferences vary widely within a family. While I may not be a big fan of lamb or even meat in general, my children are enthusiastic meat eaters. I make it a point never to impose my own eating habits on them. Instead, I offer a variety of options and let each family member decide what they like best. This approach creates a welcoming dining environment where everyone’s choices are respected, which is vital for nurturing healthy attitudes toward food. Family dinners hold a special place in our lives, especially when recipes carry emotional significance. For example, lamb and vegetables were favorites of my mother’s, and my stepdad cooked this meal upon my niece’s request. Even though I don’t care much for lamb, sharing the table with loved ones and tasting dishes that hold sentimental value makes these meals meaningful. Alongside the lamb, the seasoned vegetables—roasted rainbow carrots, grilled squash, zucchini, and rosemary roasted potatoes accompanied by fresh sourdough bread—were a highlight. These sides add vibrant colors, textures, and flavors that complement the main course beautifully. They demonstrate how incorporating fresh, seasonal vegetables can enhance family meals and appeal to diverse palates. If you find yourself unsure about trying unfamiliar foods, I encourage you to keep an open mind. Enjoying meals together, understanding each other’s preferences without judgement, and celebrating the shared experience is what really makes food memorable. Trying lamb again might not change my taste buds overnight, but it deepens my connection with my family and honors cherished traditions. And that, in itself, feels like a great success.

Am I open to trying new things or still fearful?
I’ve always been so worried about what people would say or think about putting myself out there. My life has had its ups & downs & I’ve learned to live in the shadows. I don’t step out on faith for fear of failing & have a habit of self sabotaging.. Well, NO MORE. This is the year I

what you UNlearn in your 20’s is just as important as what you ✨do✨ learn! asking ourselves what toxic patterns or unhealthy coping mechanisms we’ve adopted over time is such a crucial part of becoming who we want to be ⤵️ you can’t adopt new habits and patterns while you’re still unaware of and

small things that increase feminine energy 💋
Sometimes I struggle with feeling feminine. When I younger I use to think femininity had to do with long hair, soft features, super girly clothes, being flirty & at the time I had none of that. I was a “TomBoy” and when I exited that stage of my life I felt like I was in limbo. But naturally As
