Happy Father’s Day ❤️🇺🇸
Today I’m sharing a collection of poems I wrote for my father, a United States Marine Corps veteran.
Most of the images featured in this collection are artistic mockups created to accompany the poems and the emotions behind them. However, one image holds a special place in my heart—the Marine portrait featured in “My Family Marine” is an actual photograph of my father during his years of service.
My dad is a Lance Corporal Marine, a strong and deeply loved man whose teachings continue to leave their mark on my heart and mind. Many of these poems were inspired by his stories, his lessons, and the values he carried home long after his service ended.
Writing has always been how I process gratitude, love, memories, and the people who shape us. I’ll admit, sharing work this personal makes me nervous, but this collection is one of the most meaningful projects I’ve written.
To my dad: thank you for your sacrifice, your guidance, your humor, your strength, and for always finding a way to keep moving forward.
To all fathers, Marines, veterans, and the families who stood beside them through every challenge—Happy Father’s Day.
I hope these poems find those who may need a little love, comfort, or understanding today.
Always a Marine.
Always my Dad.

Writer of quiet truths and emotional depth
Celebrating Father’s Day by sharing poetry is a unique and deeply personal way to honor the sacrifices and lessons of a Marine Corps veteran father. My own experience connecting with a similar legacy has shown me how powerful words can be in expressing complex emotions like gratitude, pride, and love. Having a father who served as a Lance Corporal Marine brings a profound sense of respect and admiration for the family values and strength instilled through their service. The stories and memories often serve as a foundation for learning resilience and courage in everyday life. The inclusion of artistic mockups alongside genuine photographs deepens the emotional impact of the poems by blending reality with creative expression. It highlights how memories and representation help keep the spirit of veterans alive in our hearts. From my own reflections, writing poetry or personal letters to a loved one in service can be incredibly cathartic and healing. It allows an opportunity to process feelings that might otherwise remain unspoken. Sharing these works publicly, while nerve-wracking, can also create connections with others who have similar experiences or are searching for comfort and understanding. The phrase "Always a Marine, Always my Dad" captures a timeless respect for both the uniform and the personal bond. For families of veterans, honoring their journey through art, poem, or shared stories ensures their legacy endures beyond active duty, influencing new generations. For those reading, consider writing your own words of appreciation for the heroes in your life, whether they wear a uniform or serve in other meaningful ways. Father’s Day becomes more than a date; it becomes a celebration of heritage, love, and enduring strength.
