Do it anyway … Sometimes your feelings don’t matter
From my personal experiences, cultivating a "do it anyway" mindset has been transformative in overcoming moments of hesitation or self-doubt that often arise unexpectedly. It's important to realize that feelings, while valid, are sometimes misleading or reflective of past hurts rather than present realities. For example, the phrase "You don't miss THE relationship... you miss being in A relationship" reminds me how often we confuse loneliness with the desire for companionship, which can cloud our judgment. I've learned that by fully committing to action despite discomfort, such as initiating conversations or pursuing goals while feeling unprepared, you develop resilience and skills needed for growth. This approach requires accepting that not every emotion needs to dictate your decisions, especially when fear or uncertainty hold you back from expanding your life experience. The process of "elevating" yourself often means being willing to be uncomfortable and embracing the unknown. In practical terms, this mentality has opened doors to new relationships and opportunities that would have previously been dismissed due to apprehension. It's a constant practice — learning to recognize feelings, acknowledge them, and then choosing action anyway. Over time, this shifts your mindset from avoiding challenges to welcoming them as essential for a fulfilling life. This perspective doesn't diminish the importance of emotions but reframes them as signals rather than directives, empowering you to cultivate skills that prepare you for the next phase of your journey.
