Why You Should Visit 📍Doha, Qatar
I visited Doha for a leadership conference and it is such a hidden gem🙌🏾 Here are some of the things you need to checkout in Doha:
🖼️NATIONAL MUSEUM OF QATAR was so much fun! I learned alot about the country and their history. The museum is a big circle of exhibits and at the end you can venture through the old palace. This was really cool but make sure you visit when it’s cool temps (Sept through March)
🛍️VILLAGGIO MALL & VENDOME MALL. Both are incredible in design and have really great luxury shopping. Qatar is actually the 2nd cheapest place to buy luxury goods brand new (1st is France), but it is cheapest out of all of the Middle East, so if you’re a shopper this is the place for you! Both are huge so you’ll need to dedicate alot of time to roaming each floor.
Unfortunately I wasn’t able to visit SOUQ WAQIF, which is an outdoor market. There are traditional foods, goods, and shops that you can explore, but it comes alive in the evening, when the weather is cooler. On my next visit, I will definitely check it out for myself.

It truly comes alive in the evening when locals and tourists gather to dine at charming restaurants and cafes, soaking in the authentic atmosphere. It’s a fantastic place to try traditional foods and immerse yourself in local life, offering a stark contrast to the modern 'luxury shops' of Vendome Mall. For those looking for more 'tourist places to visit in Qatar,' consider adding the Museum of Islamic Art to your itinerary – its stunning architecture and world-class collection are breathtaking. Also, a visit to The Pearl-Qatar, an artificial island featuring marinas, residential towers, hotels, and high-end boutiques, offers another facet of Doha's modern luxury. Don't forget to take a stroll along the Doha Corniche for panoramic views of the city skyline, especially beautiful at sunset. Getting around Doha is quite convenient. Taxis are readily available, and the metro system is modern, efficient, and very affordable, connecting many key attractions. Remember to dress respectfully, especially when visiting religious sites or traditional areas, as a nod to local customs. Doha is genuinely known for its hospitality, safety, and its impressive blend of heritage and futuristic vision. It’s a city that continuously surprises and delights, and I can't wait for my next visit to tick off Souq Waqif and explore even more of this Middle Eastern jewel!
