App to Buy Designer Bags from Japan

The yen is the cheapest it has been in 20 years, which means it’s the perfect time to either (1) travel to Japan and buy a designer bag OR (2) Buy from the secondhand market online.

The app to use for these bags is called Buyee and once you download it follow the steps below:

1️⃣ Go to the menu and select “mercari”

2️⃣ Type the bag that you want in the search bar. You can add filters to auto- translate to English or shop for a color, size, etc.

3️⃣ Browse for the bag you want. The bags outlined in blue are authenticated after purchase.

4️⃣ After purchase, your bag is shipped to the center to be authenticated. If the bag is authentic, then it is shipped to you (takes about 2 months to arrive to your home.) If the bag is fake, it is shipped back to the seller and you are refunded.

Protip: go on the desktop to sign up for an account. It’s easier to sign up for an account on desktop.

Save this for your next shopping adventure!

... Read moreWhile my main focus has been on scoring incredible preloved designer bags via Mercari through Buyee, it's worth noting how powerful Buyee truly is as a proxy service. It's like having a personal shopper in Japan, giving you access to so much more than just one platform! The Buyee app store page truly hints at the vast possibilities. Beyond Mercari (which is fantastic for those unique, authenticated finds like the Dior bags I've seen!), Buyee also lets you access other major Japanese shopping sites. Have you ever wished for a 'Japanese eBay'? Well, Yahoo! JAPAN Auction is pretty much it! You can bid on all sorts of treasures, from vintage collectibles to rare fashion pieces. And if you're looking for brand new items or specific Japanese brands, Yahoo! Shopping Japan is another great option right within the Buyee interface. This really opens up the possibilities beyond just secondhand luxury, making Buyee a comprehensive portal for shopping Japan. When you dive into the Buyee app interface, you'll see a clear list of platforms like Yahoo! JAPAN Auction and Mercari highlighted, making it super easy to navigate. Don't be shy about using the auto-translate filters; they're a lifesaver when browsing listings! I've spent hours exploring on both desktop (definitely easier for initial sign-up, as I mentioned!) and the mobile app, and the 'Appraisal Option' for authenticated purchases gives me so much peace of mind. And it's not just designer bags! Thinking about 'best things to buy in Japan for women' or 'brands to buy in Japan'? With Buyee, you can explore so much more. I've personally started looking into unique Japanese clothing brands that aren't easily available overseas, as well as adorable homeware and beauty products. It’s a treasure trove for sustainable fashion finds too – truly a guilt-free way to indulge my love for unique pieces, just like that 'Preloved Designer' item I found. That authentication process Buyee offers for items outlined in blue is a game-changer. Knowing that experts check your item before it even leaves Japan means you're almost guaranteed to get what you paid for – no fake worries! It does take a little longer for shipping (my bag took about two months to arrive), but the wait is totally worth it for that peace of mind and the incredible savings. It’s truly transformed my shopping experience, allowing me to find unique, high-quality items at amazing prices, all while enjoying the thrill of discovering treasures from Japan. Give Buyee a try; you might just find your next favorite item!
