Travel Creator Starter Pack on Sale (Tiktok Shop)

If you want to be a content creator, but are unsure of what equipment you need, here are some quick items you can get from Amazon (or Tiktok shop - it’s cheaper!)

📸 CAMERA: You really only need an iphone, but if you want a digital camera, I use the Canon G7X Mark iii for my Youtube vlogs. It’s linked in my Amazon storefront in the comments ⬇️

📸📸 TRIPOD: You’ll definitely need a sturdy tripod that can be packed easily in your personal bag or carry on. I use the tripod above from tiktok shop because it is the sturdiest for overhead shots and general photos.

🎤MICROPHONE: You will need a microphone when you’re shooting content outside so the microphone above is a good starter. If you’re more advanced, you can get the microphone in my amazon storefront, linked in the comments ⬇️

💡LIGHTING: You’ll definitely need a small, transportable light for dark hotel rooms and bathrooms. Im using the one above but you can find an equivalent on Amazon as well.

Save this for your content creator essentials and checkout my ebook if you want to learn how to get paid as a travel creator.

... Read moreHey everyone! So many of you have asked about my filming setup for travel content, especially for TikTok. While my initial post covered the bare essentials, I wanted to dive a bit deeper into why these items are game-changers and what else you might consider to really elevate your videos without breaking the bank! Let's talk cameras first. Yes, your iPhone is incredibly powerful, and honestly, it's where most of us start! Modern smartphones offer amazing video quality and stabilization. My best advice for phone users is to always clean your lens and shoot in good lighting. If you're ready to step up, a compact vlogging camera like the Canon G7X Mark iii mentioned earlier is fantastic for its portability and quality. It's a great intermediate step before investing in a full mirrorless setup. Remember, the best camera is the one you have with you! Next up, tripods – seriously underrated! A good tripod is your silent partner in crime. Beyond just holding your camera steady, it opens up so many creative possibilities. For example, a sturdy 62" phone tripod isn't just for stable shots; it's perfect for those dynamic time-lapses, hands-free tutorials, or getting that perfect eye-level shot without asking a stranger. I've learned that a tripod that can extend to a decent height is crucial for varied angles, and if it's compact enough to fit in your personal bag, even better for travel! Look for one with a remote control – it's a lifesaver for solo shooting. Audio is often overlooked by beginners, but it makes a HUGE difference in content quality. No matter how beautiful your visuals are, poor audio can instantly turn viewers away. That's why a good microphone is non-negotiable, especially when you're filming outdoors with wind or background noise. I highly recommend starting with wireless lavalier microphones. They clip discreetly onto your clothing, capturing your voice clearly, and the wireless freedom means you're not tethered to your phone. Test your audio before you start recording; a quick sound check can save you hours of re-shooting. And finally, lighting – it can transform a dull shot into something professional. Natural light is always king, but when you're indoors, especially in dimly lit hotel rooms or bathrooms, a small, portable light is a must. My portable LED selfie light has been a lifesaver more times than I can count. It clips right onto your phone, providing a soft, even glow that brightens your face and eliminates harsh shadows. Look for one with adjustable brightness and color temperature to adapt to different environments. Don't underestimate how much a little extra light can make your skin glow and your video pop! Beyond the gear, remember that consistency and authenticity are your best tools. Experiment with different setups, find what works for your style, and most importantly, have fun creating! These tools are meant to enhance your story, not replace it. Good luck on your content creation journey!
