Breakfast Bombs💣

Quick and Easy Breakfast bombs!

Ingredients:

6-8 eggs (preference)

1 package of pillsbury biscuits

1/2 pound of sausage

4-5 strips of bacon

1-2 cups shredded cheese

2 tbsp of melted butter

You can also add onions, peppers, mushrooms *

This recipe is universal so you can add as little or as much as you want!

They are also really good with some syrup!

Recipe:

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2. Prep your ingredients, scramble the eggs to your liking. Cook the sausage and bacon.

3. Once everything is done, take each biscuit apart and roll out the dough until it is flat.

4. Add a little bit of everything into the center of the dough and bring the sides together and pinch to secure the filling. Repeat this step for all of them.

5. Place onto nonstick baking sheet and brush the top of each “bomb” with the melted butter.

6. Bake for about 12-15 minutes and enjoy!

Beyond the classic bacon, egg, and cheese (which is undeniably delicious!), I love playing around with different fillings. For a veggie twist, try sautéing some spinach and bell peppers with your eggs. Or what about a 'southwestern bomb' with black beans, corn, a pinch of chili powder, and pepper jack cheese? For meat lovers, cooked ham or even crumbled breakfast sausage (if you're not already using it!) works wonderfully. And don't even get me started on cheese – a mix of cheddar and mozzarella always melts beautifully, but a little smoked gouda or spicy Monterey Jack can really elevate the flavor! Now, for some of my personal tips to make sure your breakfast bombs are absolutely perfect every time. First, with the Pillsbury biscuits, make sure you don't roll them too thin, or they might tear when you're trying to seal them. Just enough so they're flat and spread out, but still have some integrity. When adding your filling, less is definitely more! Overfilling is the number one culprit for leaky bombs. A good tablespoon or two is usually plenty. And when you pinch the seams, really press them together firmly to create a good seal. If you want to freeze them, wrap each cooled bomb individually in plastic wrap, then place them in a freezer-safe bag. They'll keep for about a month. Just thaw them overnight in the fridge and reheat as usual, or pop them frozen into a preheated oven (around 300°F/150°C) for 15-20 minutes until warmed through. While the original recipe suggests syrup (and yes, that sweet and savory combo is divine!), don't stop there!
