Strawberry Perfume From Marshalls

Found this adorable Strawberry Icing perfume at Marshalls for only $16.99. Amazon has it listed for almost $60?!?! Umm bye Amazon 👋🏼 lol.

If you’re looking for a sweet, candy scent, definitely go and check this one out. Smells more like watermelon candy than strawberry to me but it’s still cute.

***UPDATE***

This fragrance gives me a headache and does not layer well. The more I wore it, the more artificial and overly sweet it smelled. Will be returning. 3/10

... Read moreIt's always a thrill to find a great deal at Marshalls, isn't it? My experience with the 'Strawberry Icing' perfume really opened my eyes to a few things I now consider essential when hunting for fragrances. First off, the allure of Marshalls is real – that feeling of discovering a hidden gem at a fraction of the cost is unbeatable. I mean, going from an Amazon listing of almost $60 to Marshalls' $16.99 for the same 'Strawberry Icing' perfume bottle? It felt like winning the lottery! But this also taught me a valuable lesson: sometimes, a price that seems too good to be true might have a reason. It's not always about quality, but sometimes about how a scent interacts with your personal chemistry over time. For me, the initial spritz of this particular strawberry perfume was a delightful burst of candy-like sweetness. It reminded me more of a juicy watermelon candy than pure strawberry, which wasn't a deal-breaker at first. But as the day wore on, and with repeated use, things changed dramatically. That beautiful, fun top note morphed into something heavy and cloying. I started noticing a synthetic quality that just wouldn't quit, eventually leading to a persistent headache. This made me realize the importance of letting a perfume develop on your skin for several hours, not just a quick sniff in the store. The dry-down can be completely different from the initial spray! If you're like me and adore sweet, fruity fragrances, especially those with a strawberry or milkshake vibe, don't despair! There are many fantastic affordable options out there that deliver a beautiful scent experience without the headache. When I'm looking for a new fragrance, I always check online reviews that detail not just the initial impression but also the longevity, sillage (how far the scent projects), and how it evolves over time. Some popular alternatives for a genuine strawberry scent might include indie brands or even body mists that you can layer. And speaking of layering, this 'Strawberry Icing' one didn't play well with others for me, which is another crucial aspect to consider if you enjoy combining scents to create your signature aroma. My biggest takeaway from this 'Marshalls find' is to always trust your gut and your body. If a fragrance starts to give you discomfort, it’s probably not the right fit, no matter how good the deal was. Don't be afraid to return something that doesn't work for you, especially if it causes headaches or other adverse reactions. Your perfume should make you feel good, not unwell! So, happy scent hunting, and remember to wear it before you love it!

Im late to this conversation, but I use BBW Watermelon mist and a Body Fantasy Cotton Clouds. it's a great combo. I've always mixed fragrances! ❤️
