An entire year paid for
I’ve been questioning this for the past three years of my life. I honestly think I’d paint and draw full time hours to an extent I’d be able to create an entire series to comment about how the middle class in America is fading real quick. How people are working 2-3 jobs and donating plasma so an extent it’s still not enough. I’ve done calculations and I’d need 10k in 2023 to be able to do this but recently did my calculations again this year with inflation… to be full time I’d need 25k…that’s not including food… smh what it must be like to the rich who get to be artists everyday…I just wish I had the same opportunity as the writer of the novel “to kill a mocking bird”. Must be nice to have friends who are rich and see potential in you enough to pay for you sit and write a book for an entire year… #create #art #painting #america #usa
Imagine the possibilities if you had an entire year paid for: traveling the world, diving into creative projects, or pursuing lifelong dreams. Many artists and creators face financial challenges, working multiple jobs just to make ends meet, and often sacrificing their true passions. The recent increase in living costs only exacerbates these struggles, making it incredibly difficult for aspiring artists to devote time to their craft without financial security. This situation poses the question: what if resources were readily available, allowing individuals to pursue art without the pressure of economic hardship? A year dedicated to creativity could result in groundbreaking work that reflects society's complexities. In this context, we can draw parallels to well-known authors and artists who had the financial support to focus solely on their work. Their stories inspire aspiring creators to seek similar opportunities and ask for what they need to thrive. Let's discuss ideas and solutions for fostering artistic communities that nurture talent while leading broader conversations about economic support for artists. What would your year of freedom look like? What projects would you tackle, and how would you showcase your work to the world?

would my husband and I be able to resume our old jobs after the year? would I be able to save some of this money or just enough to cover what we need?
