I’ve dibbled in cigarettes and vaping which didn’t last. However, now that I’m in my mid-30s, carbohydrates have been the HARDEST addiction to break! Simple carbs to be exact. White breads, energy drinks, and American breakfasts such as pancakes with heaps of syrups. I went to the doctor yesterday, and it turns out that all my physical ailments (not to mention the mental anguish that comes along with it) are stemming from bad diet and not enough exercise. Now I’ll be the first to say, that yes, i need to loose 20-30lbs. I get it. 😭 I’d also like to think that on a typical day I have great self control…… ‘til I drive past my family’s favorite donut shop on the way to my drop my kids off at school…….. how dare they just set the donut shop so close to my eyes view!!! So is it my fault if there’s a donut shop and french fries on every corner of my world? Is it my fault that donuts are not good for me? In all honesty, donuts are not my only simple carbs frenemy. It’s ALL simple carbs’ lil raggedy friends, liquor/beer and laziness. Laziness only shows up every few weeks, I’m pretty good at repelling her. Bud Light on the other hand, has me in a constant chokehold……
