The Women - Kristin Hannah
This book takes place during the Vietnam War. A young woman joins the army as a nurse and serves overseas in-country.
The story takes us along her journey returning home in the height of protests, and outrage. Adjusting to civilian life, while trying to understand all that she experienced, witnessed and endured In Nam. The character building is just perfect. Not too smutty, just enough romance. It has three main female characters and focuses solely on their struggles as women who served overseas.
Absolutely amazing. I love the way Kristin Hannah writes in general, definitely recommend. I cannot for the life of me write a book review without spoilers, so just read it. 😘
