Homemade Pickles

1 cup water

1/2 cup distilled vinegar

1/4 cup Mustard Seed

1/4 cup of whole peppercorn

1 clove of garlic or 2 tablespoons of minced

1/3 cup of pickling salt

2 bay leaves for every jar

1 package of fresh dill

5-6 pickling cucumbers

Bring everything except bay leaves and fresh dill to a boil. Simmer for 5–10 minutes.

Cut cucumbers and place in jars. Add mixture to jars. Close lids finger tight and leave on the counter to cool. Refrigerate 7 days before eating.
