From my personal experience, the castle offers one of the most spectacular vantage points to admire the colorful harbor and rolling hills surrounding this charming fishing village. The walk up to the castle is invigorating yet rewarding, with each step bringing more stunning views. Inside the castle, the historical ambiance combines beautifully with the lush gardens, creating a serene atmosphere that perfectly complements the breathtaking panorama. I found it especially magical during the golden hours of sunset, when the light casts a warm glow over the sea and the vibrant buildings below. Besides the views, the castle often hosts small exhibitions and cultural events, adding an enriching layer to the visit. Portofino itself is a treasure, with its quaint shops, delicious seafood restaurants, and welcoming locals. Spending a day walking through its narrow streets and enjoying fresh gelato makes the experience even more memorable.
