Unity (Ephesians 2:11-22)
Reflecting on Ephesians 2:11-22, I’ve found a deep personal encouragement about the power of unity in Christ. This passage emphasizes how Jesus has removed the barriers that separate us, particularly between Jews and Gentiles, creating one new humanity. In my own experience, embracing this unity has profoundly changed how I relate to others, encouraging me to look beyond differences and focus on our shared identity in God. The idea that Christ is our peace and the one who makes us one resonates deeply amidst today’s divisive world. Practicing this unity means intentionally breaking down walls of prejudice, whether cultural, racial, or social. It’s not always easy, but Ephesians reminds us that this oneness is a divine calling. This has inspired me to pursue reconciliation and understanding in my community, to pray and act against division. Moreover, the passage talks about believers being built together into a spiritual dwelling place, which for me highlights the importance of community and support in our spiritual journeys. Being part of such a unified body gives strength and belonging, reinforcing that no one walks alone in faith. I encourage others to reflect on this scripture and welcome the peace and unity it offers, allowing it to transform relationships and foster a genuine spirit of inclusion and love.
