My favorite time of year🎃👻🍂

... Read moreOh my goodness, I completely resonate with anyone who's already counting down the days until fall! That illustration with '86 DAYS UNTIL.....' and all those cozy autumn elements perfectly captures my mood. There's just something magical about the transition from summer's warmth to autumn's crisp embrace, isn't there? It's truly my favorite time of year, and I'm always looking for ways to soak up every moment. The anticipation is half the fun! For me, the countdown builds with thoughts of all the wonderful things that make fall so special. I picture myself curled up with a good book – maybe even one with glasses resting on its pages, just like in that charming illustration – and a warm cup of coffee or tea. The small pumpkins nearby, dried yellow leaves scattered on the table, and the soft texture of a white knitted blanket complete the scene. Those cozy moments are what I live for! The comforting scent of pumpkin spice in the air, the gentle flicker of a lit candle next to a stack of books, perhaps even a slice of pumpkin pie waiting to be enjoyed – it all creates such a comforting and inviting atmosphere. It’s about slowing down and savouring the simple pleasures, don’t you think? But fall isn't just about staying indoors. I absolutely adore seeing the transformation outside! Walking through a winding wooden pathway or boardwalk, covered in vibrant orange and red autumn foliage, with the leaves crunching underfoot, is pure bliss. It feels like stepping into a painting. And who can resist visiting a local fair or festival? Seeing a grand Ferris wheel against a cloudy sky, framed by those magnificent autumn trees, always fills me with a sense of wonder and childlike joy. Every outdoor scene becomes a potential postcard, inviting you to explore the dense forest or just take a moment to breathe in the crisp, cool air. And let's not forget the absolute highlight for many: Halloween! The creative fun of carving jack-o'-lanterns of all different sizes, arranging them amidst fallen leaves, and setting the spooky scene is unbeatable. I love spotting yards adorned with a person dressed in a black witch's hat and cloak, perhaps even holding a broom, surrounded by scattered pumpkins – it truly signals the start of the season's festive spirit. And after all the decorating and outdoor adventures, there’s nothing better than enjoying some Halloween-themed treats. Those adorable pumpkin and ghost-shaped cookies, served in a wooden tray with a warm cup of coffee, perhaps even on a newspaper-covered surface, are such a delightful way to celebrate. If you're like me and can't wait for fall, why not start planning some of these activities now? Even if it's still '86 days until' or more, you can begin gathering your favorite fall recipes, planning your Halloween costume, or mapping out scenic drives to witness the best foliage. Think about the types of candles you'll light, the books you'll read, and the friends you'll invite over for a cozy evening. Embrace the anticipation, because this season truly offers so much to cherish and makes for the most heartwarming memories. What are you most excited to do this fall? Share your plans!

I declared a long time ago that September 1st is fall for me. You can’t change my mind. I absolutely adore fall and if there was a place were it was fall 24/7 - 365 I would live there in a heart beat 🧡
