Explaining myself and my FeElInGs yk (mha)
This js a lil abt me ykk
Hey everyone! I totally get it if you've ever felt like your personality is a little... 'much' for some people, or that you're just 'too different' to fit in. It's something I've personally grappled with, and seeing those MHA character moments really hit home. You know that feeling when you're super excited about something, and then you see someone's raised eyebrow, and suddenly you feel like you should just tone it down? Or when you feel useful and vibrant, but then a quiet moment makes you question if anyone truly 'needs you'? It's a real struggle. Sometimes, our unique traits, what makes us distinctly *us*, can feel like a 'burden' instead of a gift. We might find ourselves battling 'self-hatred' or constantly wondering if we're 'good enough' when we're alone, even if we're the life of the party with friends. I’ve definitely had moments where I just wished I could be 'different or better,' thinking that fitting in would solve all my problems. There's this pressure to be a certain way, to look a certain way, and if you don't quite fit that mold, it can leave you 'insecure about your looks' or 'struggling to feel confident.' But here's the thing I'm learning: those 'quirks' are often where our magic lies! Instead of letting 'shyness' make us act 'like an idiot' just to deflect, or trying to hide parts of ourselves, what if we tried to embrace them? It’s not easy, especially when you’ve been picked on, but it’s so freeing. One big step for me was realizing that not everyone will 'get' my whole vibe, and that's perfectly okay. It doesn't make my personality wrong; it just means we're not a match. Instead of trying to change myself to please everyone, I started focusing on the people who genuinely light up when I'm my authentic self. They're out there, trust me! Another thing that's helped is reframing those feelings. When I feel 'too much,' I try to see it as having a lot of passion. When I feel 'too different,' I try to see it as being original and creative. It's a gradual process, but practicing self-compassion can really turn things around. Instead of letting those moments of 'disliking oneself' consume you, try to challenge those thoughts. What's one small thing you do like about yourself today? It could be anything, even just your ability to laugh at a silly meme. Building confidence is like building a muscle – it takes consistent effort. Start by celebrating your small wins and acknowledging your strengths. Maybe you're a great listener, or you have a unique sense of humor, or you're incredibly resilient. Whatever it is, lean into it. And remember, true confidence isn't about never having doubts; it's about pushing through them and believing in your own worth, even when it feels hard. You are not useless, and your feelings are valid. Let's celebrate our wonderfully quirky selves!
