Hi, I’m Kelsey.

I’m always on the move, rarely sitting still, and constantly creating in one way or another. I’m a towboater’s wife, a mama to three little humans, and a dog mom — navigating a season of life that looks very different from the one I once knew. I used to work full-time as a CNA and cosmetologist, and now I stay home with my toddlers, which is a transition that truly isn’t for the weak.

Creativity has always been my grounding force. Whether I’m crafting, reading, or chasing small adventures, I find comfort in creating something meaningful out of the everyday chaos. I’ve always chosen books over TV, but when I do watch, it’s usually horror, thrillers, or action. Dark stories, true crime podcasts, and the kind of plots that keep you thinking long after the last page or episode are where I feel most at home.

I live with ADHD, so nothing here will ever stay the same — and honestly, that’s intentional. This space will always be a reflection of whatever season I’m in: motherhood, creativity, books, chaos, growth, and everything in between. If you’re someone who finds beauty in the messy, comfort in stories, and joy in a life that doesn’t fit into one box, you’re in the right place.🖤

What’s one thing you’ve rediscovered about yourself lately?

... Read moreBalancing motherhood with personal passions can be a challenging yet deeply rewarding experience, especially for those living with ADHD. As someone who thrives on creativity and constant movement, I've found that embracing the unpredictable nature of life is the key to maintaining my sense of self and joy. Transitioning from a full-time career as a CNA and cosmetologist to a stay-at-home mom of three toddlers is no small feat—it redefines your identity and daily rhythms. Creativity serves not just as a hobby but as a vital coping mechanism for me. Whether it’s through crafting meaningful projects or immersing myself in dark stories like thrillers and true crime, these outlets provide mental stimulation and solace amid the chaos. I’ve also realized the importance of accepting change and not forcing stability when it doesn’t fit—especially living with ADHD, where spontaneity and adaptation are part of life’s fabric. Another element that helps me recharge is connecting with nature or planning weekend getaways, which offer brief but essential breaks to reset. I find that small adventures, even just a morning iced coffee by a fireside, can spark creativity and bring peace. For anyone navigating similar seasons—whether motherhood, creative exploration, or thriving with ADHD—I encourage you to embrace whatever makes your heart sing, even if it feels messy or unconventional. Sharing our stories builds community and reminds us we aren't alone. What new facets of yourself have you uncovered through your journey?
