YA horror with Folklore 🔎
HOW DOES THIS BOOK NOT HAVE MORE HYPE!? 😭
This is easily one of my favorite reads of the year, and I'm actually shocked more people aren't talking about it! 😩
It literally had EVERYTHING I love in a book: drama, mystery, feminine rage, a little romance, and characters I became way too emotionally attached to. I could not put this book down. 😩🙌🏻
Ceci really surprised me. I honestly wasn't her biggest fan at first, but I had to remind myself she's literally a teenager, and teenagers make messy decisions. Watching her grow throughout the story made me love her so much by the end. 🩷
And JAIME?? A walking green flag. That's it. That's the review. We all deserve a Jaime. 🫶🏻💚✨
Reading about La Cegua was so fascinating. 👀 She definitely creeped me out, but I also found myself feeling so much empathy for her story. The message behind it was incredibly powerful and honestly one of my favorite parts of the book.
The twists had me hooked from beginning to end. I guessed one of the bigger reveals, but I was still completely invested because I needed to know why everything happened and how it all connected. 🔎
This book had me feeling every emotion, and I already know it's going to stick with me for a long time. 🙌🏻 If you love mysteries, folklore, emotionally messy characters, feminine rage, and just enough romance to make you kick your feet, PLEASE pick this one up. I already can't wait to read more from this author. 😩🥰
