But any progress, small or large, is still progress. So I'm still on track to my reading goal for the year! I also can't believe it's February of 2026! like holy crap!
also does anyone else's pet love to cuddle at night when you're in bed? my cat has been loving sitting in my lap while I read or scroll.
anyway! love y'all! Please have an amazing day and do good things! 🫶

Staying consistent with a reading goal can be surprisingly challenging, especially when life gets busy. I’ve noticed that progress, no matter how slow, is incredibly motivating. For example, even when I read just a few pages at a time, it keeps me connected to my goal throughout the year. Another thing that truly enhances my reading experience is my cat’s affectionate presence. There’s something calming about having a pet nestled in your lap while you turn pages or scroll through your latest reads. This quiet companionship often helps deepen my focus and enjoyment, making the process feel less like a task and more like a comforting ritual. To anyone else balancing a hectic schedule but wanting to read more, try embracing small reading sessions. Even 10-15 minutes during breaks or before bed add up. Also, if you have a pet that likes cuddling nearby, use that energy to make reading time special—it’s a win-win for relaxation and progress. Lastly, tracking and celebrating small victories keeps the momentum going. Whether it’s finishing a chapter or exploring a new genre, these moments reinforce why you started the reading journey in the first place. Keep going, and enjoy the little joys, like pet cuddles and escaping into a good book—both make the effort worthwhile.
