This photo is a shot of Atsuta Jingu Shrine and Okoda Jinja Shrine, which I visited on the moon visit on June 7. The brand new shrine building, which seems to have the scent of cypress, quietly melts into the deep guardian forest, making you feel the silence of the sanctuary rather than the gaiety. In the foreground, the lovely Booska, a traveling companion, is reflected, adding a little warm familiarity to the solemn sanctuary.

Atsuta Jingu Shrine is one of Japan s leading ancient shrines that enshrine Kusanagi no Mitsurugi, one of the three sacred treasures. In addition to the main shrine, there are more than 40 separate shrines, sub-shrines, and sub-shrines in the precincts, each supporting the faith in Atsuta Okami. Okoda Shrine is one of them, and although it is not a big shrine, it has enshrined important gods that make up the rituals of the shrine since ancient times.

Daikoda Shrine has been handed down as a shrine that protects the sacred area of Atsuta Jingu Shrine since ancient times and prays that Shinto rituals will be carried out without delay. The name "Koda" is thought to mean "a field full of happiness" and "a land that brings abundant fruit," and prayers have been repeated for a rich harvest, prosperity of the region, and happiness of the people. In Japan, which was an agricultural society, rice fields are life itself, and faith in the god who protects the fruit supports the foundation of life.

However, in its tranquility, the Japanese respect for nature inherited from ancient times, gratitude to the gods, and the heart to live sincerely every day are still alive.
