Immigration policy has real, human consequences that reach far beyond politics. Families are being separated, communities are living in fear, and many people who contribute meaningfully to society are facing profound uncertainty. I believe we can uphold the law while also leading with humanity, fairness, and dignity. Compassion and accountability are not opposites—they can and should coexist. History consistently shows that how we treat the most vulnerable matters, and I choose to stand on what supports people, families, and human life. Not everything is black and white.
