... Read moreOkay, so you guys know how much I love a good snack haul from HEB, especially when they drop something new and exciting! Well, my latest trip to the chips aisle in Texas did NOT disappoint. I spotted these two incredible limited edition HEB potato chips that I just had to grab: the Post Oak Smoked Gouda Wavy Potato Chips and the Pepper Jelly & Cream Cheese Thin Potato Chips. Talk about a flavor adventure! First up, let’s dive into the Post Oak Smoked Gouda Wavy Potato Chips. Just from the name, I knew these were going to be something special. I'm a huge fan of Gouda cheese, and when you add "smoked" and "post oak" to the mix, my taste buds start tingling. The chips themselves are wavy, which means they hold onto that delicious seasoning perfectly. And oh my goodness, the flavor! It's rich, it's creamy, and that smoky undertone is just divine. It’s not just a generic cheese flavor; you can really taste the distinct Gouda. If you're into savory, slightly robust chip flavors, these are an absolute must-try. They remind me of cozy evenings and good company. I think these would be amazing with a glass of crisp cider or even a light beer. Next, we have the truly unique Pepper Jelly & Cream Cheese Thin Potato Chips. Now, this one sounded wild to me, but I'm always up for trying adventurous HEB chip flavors. These are thin-cut, which gives them a delicate crunch, a nice contrast to the wavy Gouda chips. The initial taste is a surprising blend of sweet and tangy, unmistakably pepper jelly. But then, right after, a smooth, creamy note of cream cheese comes through, balancing everything out beautifully. It’s sweet, a little spicy, and incredibly savory all at once. I honestly wasn't sure what to expect, but these are surprisingly addictive! They'd be perfect for a party appetizer board, maybe alongside some fresh fruit or even a dollop of actual cream cheese for an extra kick. It's so cool how HEB keeps rolling out these innovative limited edition snacks. Besides these new finds, I'm always on the lookout for their classic HEB chips, especially their spicy varieties. While these aren't jalapeno flavored, the Pepper Jelly & Cream Cheese chips do offer a pleasant, subtle warmth. For anyone with dietary considerations, it's always a good idea to check the packaging for specific information on HEB gluten free chips or other ingredients, as their range is constantly expanding. It's clear they use quality potatoes to make these chips, as the base is always perfectly crispy. These limited edition flavors won't be around forever, so if you're in Texas or near an HEB, I highly recommend grabbing a bag (or two!) of each. They really elevate your snack game. Let me know in the comments if you’ve tried them yet, or which one you’re most excited to try! Happy snacking, everyone!
