Spend the day at Bayside in Miami ☀️ 🏝️
Bayside Miami 🏝️ ☀️ 🕶️
So, you're planning a trip to Bayside Miami? Let me tell you, it's one of my absolute favorite spots for a fun-filled day by the water! Beyond just strolling around, there's a treasure trove of experiences waiting for you. First off, you absolutely cannot miss the iconic Biscayne Bay Ferris Wheel. Seriously, the views from up there are breathtaking! I went in the late afternoon, and watching the sunset over the Miami skyline and Biscayne Bay from the top was just magical. It’s a perfect photo opportunity and gives you a fantastic perspective of the entire area, including the sprawling marina below filled with countless docked boats. After soaking in those panoramic vistas, I always make a beeline for some retail therapy and unique finds. Bayside is packed with diverse shops, but for something really fun, check out the amazing candy stores. I stumbled into one with a huge 'WELCOME TO MIAMI' sign that was bursting with color! They had these incredible, larger-than-life character statues – one red, one yellow, both with their own distinct vibe, plus another whimsical character with donut-shaped ears. And if you're into cute collectibles, keep an eye out for places with giant plush characters, like that adorable oversized cat I saw! You'll find everything from local souvenirs to quirky gifts. When hunger strikes, Bayside has you covered. Whether you're craving a gourmet meal or just a quick bite, there are so many options. I grabbed a classic sandwich with fresh lettuce, tomato, and a generous side of crispy potato chips – perfect for fueling up before more exploring. There are plenty of waterfront restaurants where you can enjoy your food with stunning views of the marina and beyond. Don't forget to wander through the open-air market areas. I discovered this absolutely majestic, large tree with extensive branches and hanging roots, beautifully lit up with string lights. It creates such a charming atmosphere, especially as evening approaches, and I even spotted a 'BAYSIDE' sign nearby, confirming I was in the heart of the action. It's a lovely spot to sit for a moment or snap some unique pictures. Beyond the shopping and dining, simply enjoying the vibrant energy of the Bayside area is an experience in itself. You can watch the boats come and go from the marina, listen to live music, or even catch a boat tour if you're looking to explore the bay further. Every time I visit, I find something new to love. So, if you're wondering what to do in Bayside Miami, trust me, you'll be spoiled for choice!
