For anglers, the fall season often brings a good catch of bass and catfish, making it a rewarding spot for fishing enthusiasts. When planning a trip, I recommend packing layers to stay comfortable during the cooler mornings and warmer afternoons. Be mindful of park alerts, such as the no swimming rule, which helps preserve the natural environment. Overnight camping options near the lake add to the appeal if you want to extend your stay and experience the serene Texas night sky.
