Sahm morning routine ☀️🤍
Finally making it to the gym, is the most selfless thing I can do for myself 😭🤍👏🏼
The one thing I look forward to each and every day without feeling guilty about it.
Ps. I have tried to not have coffee with my breakfast but girl, I’ve been tireddddd 🥱
We actually had a rough start to the day before getting to make breakfast, so it was NEEDED.

Being a stay-at-home mom means every day is an adventure, especially mornings! I know the struggle of trying to find even a few minutes for yourself amidst the beautiful chaos. My own morning routine, particularly making it to the gym, has become my non-negotiable act of self-care. It's so much more than just a workout; it's truly a mental reset. For us SAHMs, our days are often spent pouring into everyone else – from meal prep to endless laundry and keeping up with little ones. That hour at the gym, for me, is the one time I truly get to focus on my own well-being. It helps clear my head, boost my energy, and frankly, makes me a more patient and present mom throughout the day. It’s the most selfless thing I can do for myself, without feeling an ounce of guilt. So, how do I make it happen? It's not always easy, especially with a preschooler who has their own morning agenda! One trick is to either wake up before everyone else – even if it's just 30 minutes for a quick home workout – or to leverage those precious preschool hours if your little one attends. Some days, it means a quick 20-minute bodyweight circuit in the living room during naptime, or even just a brisk walk around the block with the stroller. Every bit of movement counts! And let's be real, some mornings just start rough. Toddler tantrums, spilled milk, unexpected wake-ups – it all happens! That's when I remind myself that flexibility is key. And yes, my coffee becomes even more essential on those days. I’ve tried to go without it with my breakfast, but honestly, being a SAHM often leaves you feeling tireddddd, so a warm cup is a small but mighty act of self-kindness that helps me tackle whatever the day throws my way. It was definitely NEEDED after a rough start to the day before getting to make breakfast. Self-care doesn't always have to be a big gym session. It can be as simple as those first few quiet sips of coffee, listening to a podcast while doing dishes, or even just taking five minutes to stretch before the kids are up. It’s about finding those tiny moments to replenish your cup, so you can keep pouring into your family. One thing that helps me manage those unpredictable mornings is a bit of prep the night before. Laying out workout clothes, packing the kids' bags (if they're going to preschool or an activity), and even setting out breakfast bowls can shave off crucial minutes in the morning rush. It doesn't eliminate all the surprises, but it certainly helps. There are days when my 'morning routine' looks less like an aesthetic Reel and more like a sprint to get everyone fed and dressed, but even on those days, I try to find one small thing just for me, whether it’s listening to my favorite song while making breakfast or just a moment of quiet deep breathing before the day fully kicks off. It's all about progress, not perfection, especially for us SAHM moms navigating the unique rhythm of family life. If you’re a fellow SAHM feeling stretched thin, know you’re not alone. Prioritizing your morning routine, even if it's imperfect, is one of the most selfless things you can do for yourself and your family. It truly makes a difference in how you approach the rest of your day. So grab that coffee, fit in that movement, and embrace the beautiful, messy reality of SAHM life!
