Come with me to Punta Cana 🇩🇴
Punta Cana was a great place to visit! The people are friendly, the food is great, & there is so much to do! ✨
Here’s a list of the excursions we did:
• Soana Island: Boat Ride to three different islands, one of them including Soana. It includes food, swimming in the ocean at each beach, & taking pictures with starfish! 🏝️
- Please note: NEVER hold starfish above water! This can injure or even kill them.
- Tips: Bring sunglasses & LOTS of sunscreen & water. It is roughly an 11 hour day in the sun
• Swimming in a lagoon: This was a great experience! The views are beautiful (as seen in slide 3 & 4). Not to mention it’s much needed after the other activities & being in humidity & heat! I will mention the other activities included in this excursion in another post (ATV’s, Cave Exploration, & A visit to a local farm). 🏊🏼♀️
- Tips: Bring a swimsuit, sunscreen, sunglasses, a bandana or shiesty, water, & a top, pants, & shoes you are willing to get mud on!
• Feeding the monkeys: This was an adorable excursion! We got to meet two new babies that the sanctuary just recently welcomed! You get to feed the monkeys & interact with them! 🐒
- Tips: Don’t bring anything in that you don’t want the monkey to take! Phones are allowed but only for a specific section of the excursion.
• Swimming with dolphins: This is my second time being able to swim with these beautiful animals & they never fail to amaze me! They’re always so intelligent & super sweet! I love asking the names of them & how old they are. We had the honor of swimming with Elisia (11 y.o.) & Aria (8 y.o). 🐬
- Please note: I’m not here to judge, but I don’t support places like SeaWorld. I always recommend doing your research when doing excursions like this to find sanctuaries & other places that take better care of their marine animals! They do exist 🩵
- Tips: Being sunscreen! Hats will not be allowed in the pools. Sunglasses, make sure they have straps or you could possibly loose them!
• Ziplining: This is my favorite activity to do & is one of the main reasons I travel! My goal in life is to hit every single zip line course around the world, so far we are off to a great start! This specific park had 12 zip lines & it takes roughly 5 hours! Two zip lines are over a river & one you can race a family member or friend down ! 🔥
- Tips: Make sure you are hydrated! You are carrying a lot of equipment for roughly 5 hours & it is very hot & humid! They provide water & refill stations. Wear your sunscreen! You have two opportunities to tap out if you decide you don’t like it.
