Simply n Clean 👟
Hey everyone! So many of you search for 'clean lifted trucks,' and I totally get it – there's nothing quite like the feeling of seeing your beast sparkling. My 'BEEF' Ford Super Duty, the one you see here, is my pride and joy, and keeping it looking pristine, especially those large chrome wheels, is a constant mission. It's parked on that green grass under the blue sky, looking its best, but trust me, getting it there takes effort! Lifted trucks, especially big ones like my grey Ford Super Duty, present unique challenges when it comes to cleaning. They're taller, often see more adventurous terrain, and simply have more surface area. Plus, those aggressive tires and lifted suspension can kick up a lot of dirt. But don't despair! With the right approach, you can maintain that showroom shine. Here's a glimpse into my personal routine for keeping my lifted truck immaculate: First, the right tools are crucial. For a tall truck, a good quality pressure washer is a game-changer. I also use a long-handled brush for reaching the roof and upper panels, and dedicated wheel brushes for those intricate chrome wheels. Two buckets are a must – one for soapy water and one for rinsing your wash mitt, preventing grit from scratching your paint. Pre-rinse aggressively. Before any soap touches the paint, I thoroughly blast off all loose dirt and mud, especially from the undercarriage and wheel wells. This prevents scratching during the washing phase. Work from top to bottom. Gravity is your friend! Start washing the roof and work your way down the sides, saving the dirtiest parts (like the lower panels and wheels) for last. I use a high-quality car wash soap that's safe for my truck's finish. Pay special attention to the wheels. My large chrome wheels are a focal point, and they get dirty quickly. I use a dedicated wheel cleaner that's safe for chrome and a variety of brushes to get into every crevice. Don't forget to clean behind the spokes and the tires themselves! A good tire dressing finishes them off perfectly, giving them that deep, wet look. Drying is just as important as washing. To avoid water spots, especially on a sunny day or with hard water, I immediately dry my truck using soft microfiber towels or a leaf blower. For a truck this size, a blower saves a ton of time and effort! Don't forget the details. The grille, door jambs, and even the exhaust tips need attention. I use specialized cleaners and small brushes for these areas. And if you've got any Spanish moss clinging from adventures, make sure to gently remove it! Finally, a good wax or sealant application every few months protects the paint and makes future washes easier. It creates a barrier against dirt and grime, keeping that fresh look lasting longer. It’s hard work, but seeing my clean lifted Ford Super Duty reflecting the blue sky makes every minute worth it. What are your best tips for keeping your truck spotless?
