Foods I’ve made so far this week🫶🏻
Sunday we had cheddar broccoli smoked sausage pasta. It was a big hit and there were no leftovers.
Monday we had a zucchini bake. It was delicious and I never thought I’d see the day I actually enjoyed zucchini. It could have used a bit more ground hamburger in my opinion but still delicious.
Then today Tuesday we had a honey ham I cooked in the crock pot. Homemade buttermilk biscuits that came out perfect. Then we had green beans and cooked apples for our sides. The apples did end up becoming caramalized a bit but were still good. #dinner #meals #homemade #makingfood #Lemon8Diary
If you’re looking for a way to spice up your weekly dinner routine, homemade meals like cheddar broccoli smoked sausage pasta can be a comforting and flavorful choice. Using smoked sausage adds a rich, smoky taste that pairs perfectly with cheddar cheese and fresh broccoli, making a hearty pasta dish everyone will enjoy. Trying something new with vegetables can be a challenge, but zucchini bake is a great example of how to turn a simple veggie into a delicious meal. Adding ground hamburger can boost the dish’s protein content and enhance its flavors, transforming the zucchini into a satisfying entree that might just change your opinion on this versatile vegetable. Slow cooking a honey ham in a crock pot is a great hands-off cooking method that infuses sweetness and tenderness into the meat. Pairing it with homemade buttermilk biscuits provides the perfect complement — flaky and buttery with just the right texture. Side dishes like green beans bring freshness and a light crunch, while cooked apples add a touch of natural sweetness. Even a bit of caramelization on the apples can add a delightful depth of flavor to round out the meal. These meals also emphasize the joy of homemade cooking — both the process and the result. Taking the time to prepare dishes from scratch means you control the ingredients, flavors, and textures, resulting in meals that are both nourishing and satisfying. Plus, sharing your weekly culinary creations can inspire others to try new foods and cooking techniques, making mealtime an enjoyable communal experience.
