... Read moreMaking homemade chocolate fudge is a rewarding and simple way to enjoy a classic, creamy treat without the need for complex ingredients or lengthy preparation steps. This recipe uses only five key ingredients—semisweet chocolate chips, milk chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt—which combine to deliver a rich and smooth fudge that's easy to customize and perfect for any occasion. A great tip for success is to ensure you melt the chocolate and condensed milk mixture slowly over low to medium heat. This prevents burning and helps achieve a velvety texture. Stir continuously until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is well combined. Adding vanilla extract enhances the flavor with a subtle aromatic note, while the pinch of salt balances the sweetness and intensifies the chocolate taste. Once the mixture is poured into a parchment-lined 8x8 dish, you can personalize your fudge by topping it with sugar crystals, colorful sprinkles, chopped nuts, or even a drizzle of caramel before chilling. Refrigerate the fudge for 1 to 2 hours until it is fully set and firm, which makes slicing easier without crumbling. Storing your homemade fudge properly extends its freshness. Keep it refrigerated or in a cool, dry area inside an airtight container to maintain its softness and delicious flavor for up to two weeks. This easy homemade fudge recipe is perfect for holiday gifts, dessert tables, or an indulgent treat anytime you crave something sweet and chocolaty. For added creativity, try substituting some of the chocolate chips with white chocolate or adding mix-ins like dried fruit or crushed cookies. This straightforward recipe provides a fantastic base for experimenting with your favorite flavors and textures while keeping preparation time minimal.
