Soft locs with some boho curls 🌸

So many of you have been asking about my boho soft locs, and I’m so excited to share more about them! When I first decided to try this style, I was looking for something beautiful, low-maintenance, and protective for my natural hair. After a lot of research, boho soft locs with those gorgeous curly ends seemed like the perfect fit. What exactly are boho soft locs, you ask? They’re a type of faux locs that use soft, often pre-curled, hair wrapped around your natural hair or braids. What makes them 'boho' is the addition of loose, wavy or curly hair throughout the locs, and especially at the ends. This gives them that effortlessly chic, distressed look that I absolutely adore. Unlike traditional faux locs, they tend to be much lighter and have a more natural, flowing movement. The curly hair added often mimics a natural curl pattern, making the whole look seamlessly blend. Some even call them 'invisible locs' because of how well the extensions blend with your own hair. Choosing to get long curly locs like mine was a big decision, but so worth it! I love how they extend past my waist, giving such a dramatic yet elegant feel, especially with those beautiful boho curls. If you’re considering this style, think about the length you want and the type of curly hair you’d like to incorporate. You can opt for tighter curls or looser waves, depending on your desired aesthetic. I’ve seen some stunning variations, even black soft locs with blonde highlights, which add a beautiful dimension. The key to getting those perfect curly ends is often in the type of human hair or high-quality synthetic hair used, and how it's integrated during the wrapping process. Maintenance for boho soft locs is surprisingly simple! I usually mist my scalp with a light oil or rosewater spray every few days to keep it moisturized. For the locs themselves, I try not to over-manipulate them to preserve the distressed look and the curly ends. To keep the curls fresh, especially since my locs are so long, I might lightly finger-coil them with a mousse or water if they start to look a little frizzy. Sleeping with a satin bonnet or pillowcase is a must to prevent tangling and maintain their freshness. When it’s time to wash, a diluted shampoo applied directly to the scalp, followed by a light rinse, works wonders without disturbing the locs too much. One of the best things about these locs is their versatility. You can wear them down, in a high bun, a ponytail, or even half-up, half-down.
