Godly women of the Bible
We recently did a Bible study on godly women in the Bible and I chose the women that had the issue of bleeding. Her faith moves me bc she went after Jesus and she knew He could heal her.
Mark 5:34
Daughter,” he said to her, “your faith has saved you. Go in peace and be healed from your affliction.”
In the Bible, the story of the woman with the issue of blood is chronicled in the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, and Luke. This woman suffered from a bleeding condition for twelve long years, navigating social and religious stigma, as she was considered ceremonially unclean under Jewish law. Despite her desperate circumstances and having exhausted all medical options, her faith in Jesus was unshakeable. She had heard about Jesus' healing powers and thought that even touching the hem of His garment could bring her restoration. This act of faith is celebrated as a profound testament to the role of belief in a person's journey towards healing. When she reached out and touched His cloak, she was immediately healed, illustrating the theme that true faith requires action. Jesus' response was equally significant. He felt the power leave Him and asked, "Who touched me?" When the woman came forward, trembling yet bold, He reassured her, saying, "Daughter, your faith has saved you. Go in peace and be healed from your affliction" (Mark 5:34). This interaction shows not only Jesus' authority over illness but also His compassion in restoring individuals both physically and spiritually. The story goes beyond physical healing; it symbolizes the transformative power of faith.
