Always enough… right?⛈️☔️

I repeat this to myself often: “you are always enough”.

But I usually struggle to believe it.

See, I am constantly beating myself up, and I’m sure you are too; this is humanity. We tear ourselves down until there’s nothing left and succumb to the pressures of unrealistic expectations.

There’s always something to change. Weight, hair color, find lines, acne, stress, new homes, new jobs, new cars… life never stops handing us new burdens and stressors. Often we tell ourselves, “once I do x, then I’ll be happy/then I’ll be enough”. Unfortunately, this is an endless cycle of trying to do or be more. It will never be satisfied as long as we put our worth in our achievements and appearance.

It’s really really difficult to convince ourselves, but we really, truly, sincerely are ENOUGH as we are.

This isn’t what we were made for. Comparison is the thief of joy. We won’t be enough when we’re skinnier or busier or richer. We are already enough.
