Just let them play 💗
My toddler was pulling the spoons out of the dishwasher and playing with them. I was getting frustrated and starting to raise my voice. She looked sad. I took a breath, stepped back, and asked to see the spoons. She showed me her art. Instantly I felt so bad. She was creating something. She was having fun, using her talents, and I raised my voice at her because she didn’t use the spoons how I thought she should. Let this be a reminder to not extinguish the spark in their eyes. Let them play mama. Just let them play. 💗💗💗
Playtime is essential for toddlers as it fosters creativity and emotional growth. Engaging in imaginative play allows children to explore their environment and express their feelings. Each interaction with everyday items, like spoons, can become a moment of creativity. Instead of imposing adult perspectives on play, encourage their exploration. Research shows that unstructured play enhances problem-solving skills and adaptability in young children. As parents, observing your child's play can provide insights into their developmental milestones. It is important to create a safe atmosphere where they feel encouraged to invent, create, and use their imagination without the fear of reprimand. So next time your little one is creating art with household items, remember that this is not just play; it is a vital part of their learning and development journey. Allowing your toddler this freedom can deepen their self-confidence and help them form a strong foundation for future learning experiences. Every little spark of imagination deserves nurturing. Let them play, let them grow! 💗

As a mom, I love this reminder! Sometimes we forget that children see the world in a beautiful, innocent way that’s hard for us to understand. Thanks for reminding me to take a breath next time my kiddos are doing something like this ❤️
