My kids help me it’s part of the fun and memory making for us! Traditions with the kids! I might occasionally move some stuff around but it’s magical to do it together! I would never care about aesthetics as much as I do my kids lighting up by helping me decorate. It’s their house too! They love decorating for every holiday with me! It’s the sweetest. If you don’t let your kids help, you should start! It helps shape their family identity, and they feel valued when their ideas and contribution’s are included! They start associating holiday traditions with comfort, connection and joy! It’s their home too, a place that they help shape. It also encourages creativity and problem solving! Decorating with them is so much more than decorating!! Highly encouraged in this household!!!!

hubby gets out tree, I get out ornaments and our girls decorate tree. its mostly sentimental items but thats ok. im not looking for a picture perfect tree.
