Happiness is coming home to a God-given Home

Happiness is coming home and opening the door to a God-given home.

Happiness is opening the door and walking over bags of groceries and clothes on the floor.

Happiness is walking by wedding anniversary flowers that have given their “final bow”.

Happiness is a cup of cold coffee that has been sipped and enjoyed in the early and quiet morning.

It is shelve after shelve of family pictures rewinding and playing memories of love.

It’s also a countertop full of cough and cold medicine, but knowing the betterment of your child will come in the striped-light morning.

Happiness is replaying giggles and pretend coffee orders from a cardboard house.

It is a little rocking chair that “rocks back and forth” to the childhood carol.

Happiness is homemade and is a crafted gift from our Heavenly Father.

Happiness is hope in the homey and humble.
