Watching my mouth era!! 🙌🏻

... Read moreI've recently embraced the 'Watching my mouth' era, guided by the THINK acronym: True, Helpful, Inspiring, Necessary, and Kind. This has transformed how I communicate daily. Before speaking, I pause and ask myself: Is what I'm about to say true? This helps me avoid spreading misinformation or exaggerations that could harm trust. Next, I consider whether my words are helpful — do they add value or offer support? It's easy to slip into gossip or negativity, but focusing on helpfulness keeps conversations positive. Inspiration is another key filter; I strive to uplift those around me rather than bringing energy down. Reflecting on necessity makes me reconsider if my input is needed at that moment or if silence might be wiser. Finally, kindness is paramount; even difficult truths can be delivered with compassion. Adopting this approach has not only improved my personal relationships but also encouraged others to be more intentional with their speech. It fosters a more respectful environment at home and work. I recommend anyone looking to enhance their communication and emotional intelligence to try practicing the THINK framework — it’s a simple yet powerful tool to make every word count.
