Part 9: the phone light & baby parts
Omg y'all!! I held my phone flashlight up to my belly like you do with ur thumb...
Tell me WHY I can see my baby moving in there like a lil rotisserie chicken?!
So of course y'all lemme tell you cuz rn I'm panicking!
I mean, first of all I'm already a GUY!
I BEEN WORRIED WHERE HE'S COMING OUT - praying it's just a dream but this CONFIRMS IT!
I'm almost about to cry and all of a sudden babe walks in, back now from going to grab dinner I guess & says:
"Why is ur flash- what the hell is going on?!"
and once he realized he was witnessing our child move around in me like an Olympic swimmer - I was hoping he passed out cuz he realized all them times I get my bladder kicked around like a soccer ball - I WAS NOT JUST BEING TOO DRAMATIC!!
I mean, him having to rub my feet while I ate a whole bottle of Tums with them dipped in mustard... Now that I think about it - yeah that one issss a little wild.
BUT ANYWAY, my man took two lil huff & puffs & with this being my third time witnessing it, I knew it was coming.
Y'all HE FAINTED!! Flat to the ground.
As he regained consciousness and I'm still staring at my stomach with the light but now in the mirror near on the wall- amazed honestly.
Babe comes to & he says as rubbing his head and beginning to get up
"So I get to run to your rescue FOR EVERYTHING and you leave me high & dry passed out on the floor?"
I turn back to him as if I'm taken aback and tell him
"EXCUSE ME?! IM HAVING A MOMENT WITH OUR SON!
If you would like to change that attitude and join us - feel welcome!"
Him slowly smiling towards me finishing and then walking to me...
He put his arms around me and holds me from the back.
He then kisses me behind my ear after I began back at it with the examination.
He says
"You think all those tums with mustard may have caused a chemical reaction in you? There's no way ur phone light should be able to do that NORMALLY..."
Y'all I spun around and pointed my phone in his face while I said
"Oh so me and my son aren't normal to you?!!"
He says
"Well, he's my son too and n-"
Me now walking toward the bed, slinging my arm with my phone in hand up in the air while I'm yelling:
"Ohhh so you the one who gotta kid growing in YOU?!!
Did I knock YOU up?!
Do YOU make sure he's fed everyday & sing him to sleep??
Cuz I do and I'm scared to death babe..."
I'm now fully crying and babe walks to me and wraps his arms around me again and says
"And when I have the ability to...
I'll do all those things for you babe x2... Maybe even make sure ur fed everyday, like I do, and even sing you to sleep if thats what'll calm you down..."
He then slowly grabs my face and kisses me softly as the final tears fall from my face...
And in those tears was the worry that my man was ever gonna leave me...
He was here for it all and y'all, I love him even more for this day today...
He never flips out with me being gayboy pregnant...
Even encourages me & treats me so good!
I can't wait for my child to meet his daddy's.
But til then, I hadda make sure one last time as I sent myself bent over in a "cramps"
Oohing and ahhing and bent over hands on knees he says with a huge smile and a giggle
"Babe I'll rub ur feet, back, whatever... If you just don't make me watch you eat anything crazy! I'll be right back..."
I obviously faked the cramp - wanting attention & babe - yet again - knows me and read me.
He comes back around the corner with pizza boxes and omg y'all I was SOO HAPPY!
YET AGAIN he has came through.
He throws it on the bed and tells me to get up there and lay down & he says
"Imma rub ur feet while I eat - I still feel icky from passing out."
He then goes to grab the lotion from the bathroom & while he does I jumped back up quickly and grabbed my peanut butter & a few Oreos.
I crushed the Oreos alllll over that 3 meat topped pizza and opened my peanut butter while I managed to scoot back on the bed.
He walks in and sees me swiping some of it out of the jar and smearing it on the pizza and crumbs - which are also falling all over our bed cuz I didn't think it all completely thru!
He shakes his head & sits down at my feet and said
"Ur lucky our child is in you, telling you to eat that stuff... If you ever did any of this AND you WERENT pregnant?...
Ah hell, even then I couldn't get rid of you."
I awed, you awed, let's awed-together press like and share cuz sitting there like 👁️👄👁️ is cute, but sharing is cuter. 😘😉😆

Gayboy Pregnancy Chronicles
Witnessing your baby move inside your belly can be one of the most magical and reassuring moments during pregnancy. While traditional ultrasounds provide a medical glimpse, some expectant parents find comfort and wonder in simple, everyday experiences—like shining a phone flashlight on the belly to catch signs of baby movements. This unique method, although not a medical technique, illustrates the intimate connection many feel as they bond with their unborn child. Pregnancy is often a rollercoaster of emotions, especially for those embracing identities outside traditional norms, such as gay men experiencing pregnancy. These stories emphasize the importance of support from partners, who often share caregiving roles and help manage pregnancy symptoms and anxieties. As seen here, moments of vulnerability, like fainting, worrying about the baby's health, or dealing with unusual cravings, are met with understanding, humor, and love, underscoring the strength of these relationships. Craving unusual food combinations or experiencing physical discomforts like bladder pressure and cramps are common during pregnancy. Partners who can help ease these discomforts through simple acts such as foot rubs or providing comfort foods play vital roles in creating positive emotional environments. Moreover, openly sharing these experiences helps normalize diverse pregnancy journeys and fosters community among expectant parents navigating similar paths. This narrative also highlights the significance of recognizing and validating the pregnant person’s feelings. Anxiety around childbirth or how the child will arrive is a natural part of pregnancy. Having a partner who offers reassurance, emotional support, and partnership not only strengthens the couple's bond but also provides a nurturing environment for the child’s arrival. For readers experiencing pregnancy or supporting someone who is, this story serves as a reminder that pregnancy can be filled with awe, tenderness, humor, and sometimes unexpected moments of surprise. Connecting with your baby in whatever way feels right—whether through medical technology or a simple flashlight—helps build that precious bond that will continue through parenthood. If you’re curious about the varied experiences within pregnancy and parenthood, especially those that challenge traditional narratives, keep following such authentic, heartfelt stories. They enrich our understanding of love, identity, and family in all their beautiful forms.
