i teach hiit classes and love to eat | pt17

I’m a fitness instructor and also a big foodie 😎 so here are this weeks eats…healthy, balanced and colourful!

📍Home Cooked Dinner

🍣 Been absolutely loving the salmon sashimi from Fassler recently especially since it’s on sale. 🥰 I just buy it frozen and I will happily eat the 400g pack over several sittings. This one was eaten with some Inari sushi from Don Don donki and frozen edamame 🫛 I quickly defrosted.

📍Arashi Shabu Shabu

🍳My favorite hotpot/teppanyaki!! 🥰 came here with my friend and I got the lamb teppanyaki (later asked them to help me add cheese omg so yums 😋 I just love how comforting and balanced all their food tastes and not too oily too!

📍Buffet from School

🍝Lol I think it must be events szn cause there’s a lot of random buffets around school haha. I helped myself to this one from Orange Clove Catering when I passed by otw to a late lunch, there was pasta salad, normal salads, and a big hulking platter of chicken!! So yums but cheapo HAHHAHA

📍Ichigo by Tea Cottage

🍵Running a matcha cafe myself, I rly wanted to try this viral-ish matcha takeaway. There were so many options it was overwhelming (incl a soursop matcha?? durian matcha??) I got the ceremonial grade matcha on mango for myself and strawberry for the hubs. It was ok?? Like it wasn’t as matcha-y as I expected. But the price…$9.90 per cup omg. 😦

📍Home Cooked Dinner

🍜 This was made by my helper, her mee siam tasted so good 😋😍 always so flavorful and I can throw it as much 料 and make it super high fiber and protein haha. I also added salmon sashimi from this place called Song Fish, my husband helped me slice it nice and thinly. So yummy and fresh! What a perfect way to end a long day of work 😘

... Read moreSalmon sashimi is one of my go-to protein sources, especially after HIIT classes. It’s not only delicious but also rich in omega-3 fatty acids and high-quality protein, which helps muscle repair and supports heart health. I often buy it frozen, making it convenient to enjoy multiple servings at home without compromising freshness. In addition, I’m really into ceremonial grade matcha lately, especially since I run a matcha cafe myself. This type of matcha contains antioxidants called catechins that boost metabolism and support relaxation. Although I find some viral matcha drinks a bit pricey or not as strong in flavor, it’s always worth trying different options to find a balance between taste and health benefits. Eating balanced meals with plenty of vegetables, like my helper’s flavorful mee siam, helps me get enough fiber and nutrients. Combining that with protein from salmon sashimi ensures I stay energized and recover well from my workouts. I recommend experimenting with combos that suit your taste while keeping meals colorful and nutritious. If you’re curious about sashimi’s critical role in a balanced diet, it delivers lean protein and essential fatty acids that support overall wellness. Plus, enjoying it with low-oil options like frozen edamame or light sushi varieties helps keep your meals on the healthier side. It’s these small but consistent choices that have made a big difference in my health and performance.
