Breaking Bread at the Mustard Seed with Stacey

Isaiah 42:3 ~

“A bruised reed He will not break, and a smoldering wick He will not snuff out…”

Have you ever felt like you’re barely holding on… like one more thing might be the thing that breaks you?

Like your strength is worn thin… your heart is tired… and your faith feels like it’s hanging by a thread?

Here’s the truth the enemy doesn’t want you to know…

God does His most beautiful work in the fragile places.

He doesn’t walk away from what’s frayed.

He doesn’t discard what feels worn out.

He draws closer.

That thread you’re holding onto?

It may feel weak in your hands… but it’s fully secured in His.

You may feel like you’re unraveling…

But God is not intimidated by your breaking point.

He is the One who mends, restores, and strengthens what feels like it’s falling apart.

So if today you’re hanging by a thread…

don’t let go.

Because that thread?

It’s not just holding you…

🤍 It’s tethered to Him! 🤍

Lord, You see me in this fragile place. When I feel like I’m barely holding on, remind me that You are holding me even tighter. Strengthen what feels weak, restore what feels broken, and breathe hope back into my heart. I trust You, even here. Amen! 🤍

... Read moreWhen life feels overwhelming and your faith feels like it's hanging by a thread, it can be hard to see a way forward. But from my experience, these fragile moments are often where true growth begins. I've found that embracing my vulnerability instead of fighting it creates space for healing and transformation. Isaiah 42:3 reminds us that God values the bruised reed and does not snuff out the smoldering wick. This speaks deeply to anyone feeling worn thin or fragile—He is present even when we feel at our breaking point. There is something comforting in knowing that God draws closer to us in these vulnerable moments rather than turning away. Personally, I've learned that faith isn't about perfection or never struggling. It’s about trusting God’s loving hands to hold the thread, even when it feels like it might snap. Praying for strength, allowing myself to be restored, and accepting God's grace during tough times have helped me navigate seasons of uncertainty and weariness. The process can be slow, and the path unclear, but clinging to the promise that God is working to mend what feels broken brings renewed hope. If you’re hanging by a thread today, don’t be discouraged. Instead, try to lean into the presence of God, who specializes in restoring the fragile. Take small moments to breathe, pray, and remind yourself that your weakness is the perfect place for His strength to shine. Like the mustard seed mentioned in the Breaking Bread series, faith may start small, but it can grow in powerful ways, even from the tiniest thread. Remember, you’re not alone in feeling tired or strained. The enemy may want you to believe you must hold it all together on your own, but the truth is God’s promises never fail. He strengthens what is weak, restores what is broken, and fills hearts with renewed hope when we surrender to His care. Trust the process and hold tight—your thread is securely tethered to Him.
