🍞Just a Little Daily Bread…🍞
Ephesians 2:8-9 ~
“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.”
There was nothing you did to earn it.
And there is nothing you can do to lose it.
That’s the beauty… and the mystery… of grace.
We live in a world that tells us we have to perform to be accepted.
Work harder. Be better. Try again. Fix yourself.
But Jesus?
He stepped in and said, “I’ll take it from here.”
Grace isn’t given because we deserve it.
Grace is given because He is good.
When you were at your lowest…
When you were still figuring it all out…
When you were carrying things you never should’ve carried…
He didn’t turn away.
He came closer! 🙌🏼
Not with judgment.
Not with shame.
But with open arms and a love that says,
“You’re Mine… even here.”
That’s undeserved grace.
It meets you in the mess.
It covers what you can’t fix.
It restores what you thought was too far gone.
So today… stop striving.
Stop trying to earn what’s already been freely given.
Sit at His table.
Break bread with Him.
And receive the grace that was always yours through Him.
Lord, thank You for loving me when I didn’t deserve it.
Thank You for meeting me in my brokenness and covering me with Your grace.
Help me to stop striving and start receiving.
Remind my heart daily that Your love isn’t earned… it’s freely given.
Let me walk in that truth today… fully and boldly.
In Jesus’ name, Amen! 🤍

One of the most liberating realizations in my faith journey has been coming to understand the concept of undeserved grace. Reflecting on Ephesians 2:8-9, which clearly states that salvation is a gift from God, not a result of our works, has helped me release the pressure to earn acceptance or approval. This passage reassures us that grace is not based on performance but on God’s goodness and love. Throughout life, it’s easy to fall into the trap of believing that we must constantly work harder or fix ourselves to gain worthiness. However, embracing undeserved grace means accepting that Jesus took on the burden of perfection for us, and in doing so, He calls us to rest in His open arms without fear of judgment or shame. This grace meets us in the messiest, most broken places of our lives and restores what we thought impossible to fix. In my own experiences, whenever I’ve felt overwhelmed by my shortcomings or failures, recalling that grace covers those and also renews hope has been comforting and empowering. It invites a freedom to live authentically, without striving, and to engage in a personal relationship with God where we are valued, loved, and called His own. I encourage anyone feeling weighed down by expectations or self-imposed demands to pause and sit at Jesus’ table. Break bread in fellowship with Him, and accept the gift of grace freely given. This isn’t just a theological concept but a transformative reality that can change how we live daily. Practically, focusing on prayer, meditation on scripture, and community support has helped me internalize this truth. It reminds me that walking in grace means walking boldly in faith, fully embraced by God’s love even at our lowest moments. This mindset fosters peace, reduces anxiety about performance, and deepens spiritual growth. Undeserved grace is truly a gift that changes everything—it restores, uplifts, and sustains. And it’s always available, just waiting for us to stop striving and start receiving with open hearts.
