🌿Soul Rest Sunday🌿
🌿Soul Rest Sunday🌿
Matthew 11:28 ~
“Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
Have you ever noticed how tired your soul can become even when your body isn’t exhausted?
Life has a way of piling things on our hearts. Responsibilities. Worries. Disappointments. Unanswered prayers. The weight of caring for others. The pressure to keep going when we’d rather curl up and hide.
Sometimes we try to find rest in a day off, a nap, a vacation, or even mindless scrolling. While those things may refresh our bodies for a moment, they cannot fully restore a weary soul.
Only Jesus can do that! 🙌🏼
Soul rest isn’t found in escaping life’s storms. It’s found in sitting with the One who walks through every storm with us.
Today, Jesus is inviting you to lay down the burdens you’ve been carrying. The burden of trying to figure everything out. The burden of worrying about tomorrow. The burden of believing you have to do it all on your own.
Take a deep breath.
The same God who created the heavens and the earth is holding your life in His hands. Nothing has caught Him by surprise. Nothing is too difficult for Him. Nothing is beyond His reach.
Before you rush into another busy week, pull up a chair at His table. Open His Word. Sit quietly in His presence. Let His peace wash over your heart like a gentle stream.
Your soul was never designed to carry what only God can carry! 🤍
Today, choose rest.
Not just physical rest.
Soul rest.
Because when your soul rests in Jesus, your heart remembers that He is still God, He is still good, and He is still working.
Father, thank You for being our place of rest. Forgive us for carrying burdens You never asked us to hold. Today we lay our worries, fears, and struggles at Your feet. Fill our hearts with Your peace and remind us that You are in control. Refresh our souls as we spend time in Your presence. In Jesus’ name, Amen! 🤍
