1 Thessalonians 5:18 ~
“Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
On the farm, it’s easy to thank God when the fields are full.
It’s harder when you’re still staring at freshly turned dirt.
There are seasons when all you can see is work. The planting. The watering. The waiting. The weeding. Day after day, the field looks unchanged.
But the experienced farmer knows something important…
Growth isn’t measured by what you see above the ground.
It’s measured by what’s happening underneath! 🙌🏼
Gratitude works the same way.
When we thank God before the harvest, before the breakthrough, before the answer arrives, our hearts begin to change. Thanksgiving shifts our focus from what we don’t have to the faithfulness of the One who has never left us.
The enemy wants us to count our disappointments.
God invites us to count our blessings! 🙌🏼
Today, before you ask God for one more thing…
Pause…
Look around…
Notice the evidence of His goodness! 🙌🏼
Maybe it wasn’t the answer you expected…
but it’s still proof that He’s been walking beside you every step of the way.
A thankful heart is fertile soil where faith grows deep! 🙌🏼
Jesus,
Thank You for every blessing You’ve given me… both the obvious ones and the hidden ones.
Forgive me for the moments I’ve focused more on what I lack than on Your faithfulness.
Teach me to praise You while I’m planting, while I’m waiting, and while I’m harvesting.
May gratitude become the posture of my heart, no matter what season I’m walking through.

For instance, on tough days when progress seemed stalled, pausing to list even minor moments of kindness or provision helped me regain perspective and peace. Gratitude acts as a spiritual soil conditioner, enriching our hearts to receive God’s grace more fully. The verse from 1 Thessalonians reminds us to give thanks in all circumstances, not just during visible celebrations. This practice creates an ongoing dialogue with God, where faith grows silently yet powerfully.
