Breaking Bread at the Mustard Seed with Stacey

🍞Just a Little Daily Bread…🍞

🤍Come Back to the Place of His Presence🤍

Joshua 18:1 ~

“The whole congregation of the children of Israel assembled together at Shiloh…”

There are seasons when life gets so loud that we don’t realize how far our hearts have wandered from stillness.

We’re still praying…

Still serving…

Still showing up…

Still checking things off the list…

But somewhere between carrying everybody else’s needs and trying to handle our own, our souls get tired.

And sometimes God isn’t asking us to do another thing.

He’s calling us back to Shiloh! 🙌🏼

Back to the quiet place…

Back to worship…

Back to the place where we stop trying to figure everything out and simply sit in the presence of the One who already knows.

In the Old Testament, Shiloh became the place where the tabernacle… the dwelling place of God among His people… was established.

Think about that…

Before Israel had everything settled…

Before every piece of land had been divided…

Before every question had been answered…

they gathered at Shiloh.

Maybe there’s a word for us in that today.

We keep thinking we’ll rest when everything is settled…

When this situation changes…

When that prayer gets answered…

When the finances work out…

When the family is okay…

When we finally know what comes next…

But God says…

Come to Me now! 🙌🏼

You don’t have to wait until the field is perfect to sit with the Farmer.

You don’t have to wait until the harvest comes to worship.

You don’t need every answer before you can have peace.

Because peace isn’t found when everything around you finally becomes still.

Peace is found when your heart becomes still in the presence of Jesus.

So maybe this Sunday isn’t about asking God for something new.

Maybe it’s simply about coming home to His presence! 🙌🏼

Pull up a chair…

Open His Word…

Pour the coffee…

Quiet the noise…

And sit awhile…

Come back to Shiloh! 🙌🏼

Jesus, bring my heart back to You. Quiet the noise that has followed me all week and remind me that I don’t have to carry everything into tomorrow.

Teach me to rest before every problem is solved and worship before every prayer is answered.

May Your presence become the place my heart recognizes as home.

Bring me back to Shiloh.

In Jesus’ name, Amen! 🤍

💚Reflection💚

What have you been waiting to “settle” before allowing yourself to rest… and what would it look like to bring it into God’s presence today?

🧺Bread Basket🧺

Bread needs a place to rest before it rises.

Maybe you do too.

Rest isn’t wasted time when you’re resting in the presence of God.

💛Closing💛

You don’t have to have tomorrow figured out today.

Come back to Shiloh…

Come back to His presence…

And let your soul be still. 🤍
