🤍Fear Will Keep You From Planting What Faith Could Grow🤍

2 Timothy 1:7 ~

“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”

There’s something about farm life that’ll teach you pretty quickly…

You cannot harvest what fear talked you out of planting.

A farmer could stand at the edge of a freshly prepared field with a bag full of good seed and think of a hundred reasons NOT to sow it.

What if it doesn’t rain?

What if the seed doesn’t come up?

What if the weather turns?

What if I do all this work and nothing grows?

Every one of those things is possible.

But the farmer plants anyway! 🙌🏼

Because farming has never been about having guarantees.

It’s about having enough faith to put the seed in the ground.

And whewww… somebody needs that today.

How many seeds are still sitting in YOUR bag because fear convinced you the conditions weren’t right?

Maybe God told you to start something.

Write something…

Apply for something…

Speak…

Serve…

Forgive…

Create…

Go back to school…

Start the ministry…

Build the business…

Have the conversation…

Step into the calling…

But instead of planting, you’ve been standing at the edge of the field asking God for one more confirmation.

And maybe God is saying…

“I already gave you the seed. Now trust Me with the harvest!” 🙌🏼

Fear has a sneaky way of disguising itself as wisdom.

“I’m just waiting for the right time…”

“I need to know a little more first…”

“I’m praying about it…”

“I’m not ready yet…”

And sometimes those things are absolutely true.

But sometimes…

we aren’t waiting on God at all.

God is waiting on us to plant! 🙌🏼

The enemy doesn’t necessarily have to destroy your harvest if he can convince you never to sow the seed!! 🙌🏼🙌🏼

Read that again.

He’ll whisper…

You’re not qualified…

Somebody else already does it better…

What if nobody supports you???

What if you fail???

But faith answers…

“What if God sent me!?!”

🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼

Woman of God, you were never called to produce the harvest by yourself.

That’s God’s department.

Your job is obedience! 🙌🏼

Plant the seed!! 🙌🏼🙌🏼

God sends the rain…

God provides the sunshine…

God works beneath soil you cannot see…

God brings increase…

And one day, you may stand in the middle of a field overflowing with fruit and realize…

the harvest began the moment you refused to let fear keep the seed in your hand!! 🙌🏼🙌🏼

💛FARM TRUTH💛

A seed sitting safely in the barn will never become a harvest.

And neither will the calling you keep protecting from the possibility of failure.

Sometimes faith looks a whole lot like muddy boots, trembling hands…

and planting anyway! 🙌🏼

Jesus, show me where fear has kept me from obeying You. Forgive me for allowing “what if” to become louder than “God said.”

Give me courage to plant what You have placed in my hands. When I cannot see how it will grow, remind me that growth has always been Your responsibility.

I refuse to live fearful and fruitless. I choose faith. I choose obedience. And I trust You with the harvest.

In Jesus’ name, Amen! 🤍

💚REFLECTION💚

What seed has God placed in your hand that fear has kept you from planting?

And what would happen if today you finally put it in the ground?

🧺BREAD BASKET🧺

You don’t need enough faith to see the entire harvest.

You just need enough faith…

to plant one seed! 🙌🏼

From the fields of New Life Farm… to your kitchen table… may God’s Word always be fresh bread for your soul. 💚

... Read moreFear can be a powerful emotion that paralyzes even the most well-intentioned people from stepping out in faith. Reflecting on farm life, the analogy that fear can keep you from planting what faith could grow rings deeply true. Planting seeds requires trust—not in guarantees, but in hope and obedience. I've personally experienced moments where fear whispered doubts: "What if I'm not ready? What if I fail?" Yet, pushing past those fears and choosing to plant the seeds—whether that be a new project, ministry, or relationship—brings about growth that faith alone can cultivate. The key is to trust that just as farmers cannot control rain or sunshine but still plant, we too can obey God’s call without seeing the whole path ahead. Growth and harvest often happen beneath the surface, in soil unseen, reminding us God works behind the scenes. In my journey, I've learned that waiting for perfect timing or a sign often delays progress. Sometimes, obedience means planting the seed now and trusting God for the increase. It’s not about perfection or qualification; it’s about faithfulness in obedience. Like the scripture in 2 Timothy 1:7 says, God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power, love, and a sound mind. If you find yourself holding back because of what-ifs, consider what God has already placed in your hands. The harvest begins the moment you refuse to let fear keep you from planting. Trusting God to bring the rain and sunshine allows us to step into our calling with courage. Remember, you’re not alone in this journey—God’s department is to produce the harvest, and our role is to faithfully plant the seed.
